A family phrase, a new philosophy
The name JU Publishing comes from an old family expression. When something went sideways in our house- a dropped glass, a crooked repair, a well-intended project that did not quite land- my mother would say it had been "Jerked Up." Over time, that phrase became family shorthand: JU Construction, JU Maintenance, JU Car Repair. It was never cruel. It was affectionate, funny, and honest, a way of laughing at mistakes without letting them win. JU Publishing carries that spirit forward. Every good book starts a little unfinished, a little messy, and a little human. Our work is to help shape those rough beginnings into books with clarity, purpose, and staying power.

From author's struggle to publishing purpose
After a year of relentless pursuit to get a book published, I faced the harsh reality of the publishing world. The dream of being published by a major house is universal, but the path is often challenging. Instead of accepting defeat, I embraced self-publishing and founded JU Publishing. Our mission is to help authors like "us" get their voices heard. If you have a compelling message and believe others should read it, you've found your home. We have a particular soft spot for veteran authors eager to share their experiences.

Championing overlooked voices
JU Publishing exists for authors with meaningful ideas who may not have access to traditional publishing channels. We believe practical knowledge, personal experience, and hard-earned wisdom deserve a professional path to readers.

Connecting voices, especially those of veterans
We aim to connect with anyone who has a voice they wish to share. Initially, JU Publishing will focus on non-fiction offerings, with plans to expand into other genres. We leverage our network to help you get published at the best possible rate, helping authors pursue thoughtful, professional, and realistic publishing paths. We are especially interested in works from veterans and their families, providing them with a dedicated space to share their invaluable experiences and perspectives.
